Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş. Scrap Procurement Standard Terms & Conditions

  • You can find Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş.’s scrap list prices posted at the entrance to our factory in Dilovası (Dilovası Organized Industrial Zone, 1st Section, Göksu Street No: 16 41455 Dilovası, Kocaeli). These prices are also available on our website, www.colakoglu.com.tr, or by calling 0216 681 26 00. All prices are valid until new prices are announced by Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş.
  • All published scrap prices are Free on Truck (FOT) delivery to our Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş. factory, located at Dilovası Organized Industrial Zone, 1st Section, Göksu Street No: 16 41455 Dilovası, Kocaeli.
  • List prices apply only if a truck is loaded with a single grade of scrap.
  • If a truck is loaded with two grades of scrap, list prices will apply for both grades provided that the quantity of the lesser-grader quantity does not exceed 1,000 kg (1 metric ton). If the leser-grade scrap in a mixed load exceeds 1,000 kg (1 metric ton), the DKP price for will be adjusted downward by TL 25 per ton and the price for all other scrap grades will be reduced by TL 15 per ton.
  •  For mixed loads containing three grades of scrap, the list price for each grade will be reduced by TL 25 per ton. Loads containing more than three (3) grades of mixed scrap will not be accepted. If more than three grades are identified once unloading operations have begun, only the first three grades will be allowed to be unloaded.
  • Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş.’s quality control personnel shall have the sole authority to determine the quality and acceptability of all delivered scrap. If delivered scrap fails to satisfy our quality standards, Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş. bears no responsibility for any costs or consequences associated with the rejection.
  • All delivered scrap must be free from non-ferrous materials (slag, tufa, rubber, sand, glass, ceramics, plastic, oil, tar, stone, soil, concrete, wood etc), of explosives, and/or of radioactive materials. Such contaminants are prohibited. Should any prohibited contaminants be discovered aboard a vehicle during inspection, the entire load will be rejected, will not be unloaded, and will not be purchased. If prohibited materials are discovered during unloading, the entire load, including the rejected materials, will be reloaded onto the truck and returned. All costs and liabilities associated with the rejection and return of the load due to prohibited materials are the sole responsibility of the Supplier. Should any unexploded ordnance or radioactive materials be encountered aboard a vehicle, the vehicle will be promptly and securely isolated in a designated safe area and appropriate authorities will be notified to deal with their disposal. The Supplier is solely responsible for all costs and liabilities arising from such situations. Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş. may also, and at its sole discretion, ban the Supplier, their vehicles, and their drivers from all future access to the company’s premises.
  • Invoices for scrap delivered to any Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş. facility shall be paid within one business day of receipt of the invoice and all required documentation at the company’s headquarters.
  • Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş. reserves the right to amend, renew, or cancel the Scrap Procurement Standard Terms & Conditions published on its website, www.colakoglu.com.tr, without any prior notice whatsoever. All terms and conditions are subject to change, renewal, or cancellation without notice. Any revisions in them will take effect immediately upon their publication and will apply equally to all scrap Suppliers.
  • Suppliers delivering scrap to Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş.’s factory in Dilovası (Dilovası Organized Industrial Zone, 1st Section, Göksu Street No: 16 41455 Dilovası, Kocaeli) must have their loads weighed and accepted at the company’s weighbridge. Suppliers must issue their invoices based solely on the weight determined at the Çolakoğlu Metalurji AŞ weighbridge. All payments will be made solely on the basis of such invoices.
  • These Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş. Scrap Procurement Standard Terms & Conditions constitute a non-binding invitation to offer; they do not imply any commitment on the company’s part to purchase scrap from any Supplier.

Documentation required of suppliers

  • A valid business license issued for the current year by the chamber of commerce or the chamber of industry, or the trades or crafts association with which the supplier is registered.
  • Full contact details of the supplier: Legal address, tax registration number, business & mobile phone numbers, fax number, email address, website address (if applicable), and registered electronic mail (KEP) address.
  • Payment bank and IBAN information attested to by the supplier’s authorized signatories
  • Official documentation from the tax office with which the supplier is registered, verifying their active tax status for the year in which the purchase is made
  • Notarized list of the supplier’s authorized signatories
  • For suppliers that are joint-stock companies, the names of all board members; for suppliers that are limited companies, the names and addresses of all company executives
  • In accordance with Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş.’s “Know Your Supplier” policy, information and documents in addition to that listed above may be requested of companies from which large volumes of scrap are or may be purchased
  • Permits, licences and certifications that demonstrate the supplier's compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations.
